Double IBC Bunded Storage Container – 1,600 L Sump

The Double IBC Bunded Storage Container is designed to accommodate two compatible IBC tanks side by side while providing secure access and integrated secondary spill containment. Its wide front opening, suspended galvanised steel grated floor and 1,600-litre sump make it a practical solution for industrial sites, farms, workshops and construction projects handling liquid products.

Four fully opening front doors provide clear access across the complete width of the container. The entrance has no raised upstand, creating an unobstructed loading path and helping reduce the risk of forklift forks striking the container or damaging an IBC during loading and unloading.

Storage for Two IBC Containers

With an internal width of approximately 2.98 metres, the container is designed to store two standard-compatible IBC tanks in a side-by-side arrangement. This configuration increases liquid-storage capacity without requiring an unnecessarily large site footprint.

The modular design also allows multiple containers to be installed as storage requirements increase. Farms, industrial facilities and project sites can therefore expand their capacity progressively in line with operational demand.

Integrated 1,600-Litre Containment Sump

A 1,600-litre containment sump is incorporated into the base to help collect incidental leaks and spills. The IBC tanks are supported above the sump on a suspended galvanised steel grated floor, preventing the containers from standing directly in any collected liquid.

The removable floor grating allows access to the containment area for routine inspection and cleaning. The required sump capacity should always be verified against the number and volume of stored containers and the regulations applicable at the installation location.

Forklift-Friendly Threshold-Free Entrance

Unlike units with a raised front lip, this container has no upstand across the loading entrance. The threshold-free design allows forklift forks to enter the storage area more easily and helps minimise the possibility of impact damage during IBC handling.

Four front door leaves open fully to expose the complete internal width, allowing either IBC tank to be loaded, removed or inspected with minimal obstruction.

Ventilated Storage Enclosure

Integrated ventilation openings promote passive airflow through the enclosure. The ventilation arrangement supports the storage of compatible liquid products where natural air circulation forms part of the site’s storage and risk-control strategy.

Suitability must be assessed according to the chemical properties of the stored liquids. Flammable, corrosive, reactive or temperature-sensitive substances may require additional ventilation, fire protection, separation or specialist construction.

Secure Multi-User Access

Recessed T-lock door handles provide secure and practical access to the storage area. The locking system can be used with a suitable combination padlock, allowing multiple authorised users to access the container without distributing individual keys.

Durable Steel Construction

The container combines a robust painted steel exterior with galvanised internal wall surfaces and galvanised steel floor grating. This material arrangement provides durable protection for demanding agricultural, commercial and industrial environments.

Its flat-packed design helps reduce transportation volume and simplifies international shipping. The components can be assembled at the destination and positioned according to the required site layout.

Manufactured and Supplied Worldwide

Manufactured by Prefabex, the Double IBC Bunded Storage Container can be supplied to agricultural, industrial and commercial customers worldwide. Our manufacturing capabilities support international orders, project-specific quantities and selected configuration requirements.

The flat-packed delivery system helps optimise transportation volume, while the modular format allows customers to install additional units as their storage requirements expand.

Important Storage Considerations

Before ordering, customers should identify the liquids being stored and confirm their compatibility with the sump, galvanised steel grating, ventilation system and other container materials. Local environmental, fire-safety and chemical- storage requirements must also be reviewed before installation and use.
